Managed by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), in partnership with 4NW – Regional Leaders Board, England’s Northwest in Brussels is the region’s eyes and ears on policy changes and new opportunities in Europe.

The role of the England’s Northwest in Brussels office is as follows:

• To act as the key conduit for information sharing and partnership building between the Northwest and Europe;
• To be the first point of contact for colleagues in Europe to engage with the Northwest;
• To influence EU policies;
• To build strategic partnerships with other European regions;
• To promote the Northwest to European decision makers; and
• To deliver the European element of key regional strategies.

The physical location of a Northwest office in Brussels enables direct engagement with the European institutions to take place.
