The England’s Northwest in Brussels Office is led by Suzy Sumner as Head of Office.

Suzy’s role is to represent the region to the European Institutions and to provide strategic advice on the direction of EU policy and how the region can make the most of European engagement.

Maureen Hick, the EU Policy Specialist, provides EU research and information support. Representing such a large and diverse region means working closely together with specialists in the partner organisations and across the wider region – adding a European dimension to many thematic priorities of the region: energy, research and development, innovation and entrepreneruship… to name just a few.

The office works to actively reduce its environmental footprint and has been recognised for its efforts in being awarded the Eco-dynamic label from the Brussels region – the first regional office to achieve this status.
